Audience Feedback from my film magazine cover

Fellow Student feedback:

"I like the masthead, it creates a lot of impact when looked at and very eye catching. I could see this as a widely recognized name. I like the way the main character from the movie blends in with the fire, representing his rage towards his son's kidnappers. It also enforces the action-thriller genre of the movie. I think there could be a bit more text towards the left of the main image."

Response:

This is some really good feedback as it seems that all the codes and conventions were successfully portrayed as this student understands exactly what i was going for. The fire really seemed to of given the powerful image it was suppose to and does express the anger the character is feeling. In response to the comment about the lack of text to the left side; after researching a few film magazine covers, i found that less is more - that it's more expressive to leave the image to do the selling.
